Accessibility Statement
Our website, drsezerassociates.ca, is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, as referenced by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). We recognize that accessibility is not a one-time project but a continuous commitment, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
What We Have Done to Make This Site Accessible
We have taken a number of deliberate steps to support accessibility for all visitors to drsezerassociates.ca:
Alternative text for images: Meaningful images throughout our website include descriptive alternative text (alt text), so that visitors using screen readers or other assistive technologies receive the context they need to understand visual content.
Keyboard navigation: Our website is designed to be fully navigable using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse or trackpad. Visitors can tab through menus, links, and form fields in a logical order.
Clearly labeled form fields: All fields in our booking request form and other online forms are clearly labeled, helping users of screen readers and other assistive tools understand what information is being requested.
Color contrast: We use text and background color combinations that meet or aim to meet the WCAG 2.0 Level AA contrast ratio requirements, supporting readability for visitors with low vision or color vision differences.
Logical heading structure: Pages on our website use a clear and consistent heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) that supports screen reader navigation and helps all visitors scan content efficiently.
Descriptive link text: Links throughout the site are written to describe their destination clearly, rather than using non-descriptive phrases such as "click here" or "read more."
Responsive design: Our website adapts to different screen sizes and devices, including smartphones and tablets, supporting visitors who rely on mobile assistive technologies or who adjust their display settings for accessibility.
Known Limitations and Ongoing Improvements
We are committed to continuous improvement and are actively working to bring all areas of our website into full conformance with WCAG 2.0 Level AA. Current or potential limitations we are aware of include:
- Some older documents or image files may not yet include complete alternative descriptions. We are reviewing and updating these on an ongoing basis.
- Third-party tools embedded in our site — such as mapping services or online scheduling widgets — may have accessibility limitations that fall outside of our direct control. We work to select and configure third-party tools that prioritize accessibility, and we raise concerns with our vendors where barriers are identified.
If you encounter a barrier on our site that is not mentioned here, we want to know about it.
Request an Accessible Format
If you need information from our website in an alternative accessible format — such as large print, plain text, or another format — please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request in a timely manner.
We also welcome requests for communication supports when visiting either of our clinic locations in person.
